Howdy, I've been talking to a few of my fellow bowhunters regarding Woodies Outback B'head, the single one I have to try, whistles through the air from the time it leaves the bow 'till it hits the target, this was confirmed by those I have spoken to. As we all mainly hunt Deer (Sambar and Fallow) my fellow hunters will not use them because of this. I find that it is very well made, flys spot on and holds a very good edge, the noise concerns me though.
Is there anything you can do to stop this? :?

Mate I use the supremes and have no trouble.
There was a post on this some time back as some others had a similar problem and from memory the general consensus was to apply vasoline to the head and this stopped the noise.
I believe woody resolved this issue a while ago

Woody now has a broadhead called the "Stealth", it's basically a Hunter without the holes.

Hi Dale

I have heard of someone putting a drop of fletchtite at the point where the ferrule is stamped to fix it to the blade as there can be a tiny hole on either side of the blade. Could be worth a try to see if that solves the problem.

In testing I had similar issue with the 125 grain hunters but don't have any noise from the 115 grain supremes.

Hope that helps & let me know if there is any change.

Cheers

I know of at least two fallow deer that didn`t hear Woodys hunters coming their way. :D

Cheers Steve.
