I'm going to try some outback broadheads and was after some feed back from people who use them? I'm not sure if I should go for the hunter or supreme? any help? what are the major differences between the two?

i use supremes and love them, they fly very accurate and seem to bring down the goats and and pig i've shot quickly when placed right, i use the 115 grain heads and they fly very close to what my 100g field points do.
i also found them very strong and easy to sharpen.

If you are after maximum penetration with light gear, go for the Supremes, they DO fly like target points. My last two animals harvested were with supremes.

If you shoot a bit more weight and want a little more cutting width, go for the hunters, or the new stealth hunters (no venting on the blades).

Either way get the single bevel ones if possible. They are WAY easier to sharpen.

You won't go back to anything else i reckon.
Woody is great to deal with, stands behind his workmanship and not many places these days are trusting enough to send the product out BEFORE you make payment.

Heading up to arnhemland in a month to chase some big boars, I'm shooting a hoyt ultra-tec at 65# using st-axis 400 shafts at 25 1/2" with 3 2" blazers. The arrow weighs 270 gns total without broadhead. I'm guessing this would be classed as a light set up so the supremes would be the go then? What do you guys reckon?

IMO that is erring on the lighter side...

Mine weigh in at 470 g's and I thought that was a bit light, but six grassed boars and good penno on them all proved me wrong 8)

Glenn...

dont worry about ringing him... i emailed an order to him and got them in 9 days...

it was never gonna be as quick as those guys in the south of the great southern land, but i live in western sydney and they were here in pretty qiuck time regardless, and for $3.50 a broadhead, its worth the weight anyways.

and dont worry about the whole email thing. i emailed him to get eftpos details and he had emailed me back in 3 hours, so they'll be on their way no doubt.

also, try to refrain to goin to bensons unless their urgent, because even though ive dealt with them a heaps, and there all great guys and gals at bensons, a business is still a business, so they'll be looking to make a profit...

I tried to email woody the other day and got an error message back that said "no valid recipients" so i PM'ed him and still haven't heard a response.
It's a little wierd coz my last order did the same but he got the PM the same day, replied to let me know and the order was here really fast but this time I haven't got a response after 2 days.
Has anyone else had trouble with his email address?
Is it still woody@ncable.net.au ?

Jono.

Sorry about the slow responses, I have been flat out the last couple of weeks, Hefty, I have your order details, I will put in a big week end and get all the small private orders away Monday.

I dont make enough out of the Outbacks to make a living off them, and have to fit them in around the day job. Work has a lot to answer for, eh! :D
