you might be able to get a good position behind a log or stump, maybe even drag a few logs/sticks and construct a small blind. If you are going to be exposed, sit yourself so you only have to make minimal movement to draw your bow.

Camouflage itself won't hide your movements, so try and draw when the deers head goes behind a tree trunk.

Most important make sure the wind is right for where you are going to sit.

Thats some familiar country you're hunting in there. If my memory serves me right you wil have to be there really really early or very late as they won't hang around in the open for very long, no matter how good the feed is. My suggestion would be find a good access trail that leads into the area and sit off it in the bush, the more bush around you in the dark areas, the less likely you will be spotted if you move. Good luck, the 'sign' will only get better from now on.

For what its worth I agree. You will be far better off hiding beside a trail they use to get into or out of the field, rather than hiding in the filed itself. They will be alot more weary in the open than on a trail.
And if ya could build a ground blind from the natural stuff laying on the forest floor it wouldnt hurt I reckon.

I love a tree stand early morn. and late afternoon. But I cant sit them all day.
Just make sure its a really sturdy, noisless and above all SAFE one Woodstoka. Would hate to see ya get hurt.
