I have got a Hoyt Compound my question is can i use a release Aid rest when shooting fingers of is there a good rest that i can use with plastic vanes i have one of those Cavelier Rests with the flip away prong but not getting good results. :( :(
Val when I shot fingers I used a TM Hunter rest with one of the prongs removed and then used a GoldenKey button cushion plunger and it worked great. In fact I still have it somewhere.

Valhalla,
If you shoot with fingers, you need an arrow rest with support in the horizonal plane.
Centre rest, Centre rest flipper or similar.

Drop rests are designed for release aides which need vertical support and will not work for fingers.

Thanks guys i will have to go to the local Archery shop and pick a new rest up, i just got the Bow -but have a few rests laying around from a while ago ,none are the ones mentioned unfortunately. :) :)
As a guide mate the Flipper rest should only cost you about $35.
I have seem them as high as $50 so dont get caught.

My two hunting buddies and myself have been using the NAP centre rest for years shooting with fingers and wouldn't bother with anything else.
Simple to set up and simple to use.
Just two words 'whisker biscuit'. LOVE IT!
