I use a bushnell pro ledgend rangefinder when i'm out hunting.
one of the most important things i carry in my opinion.
They really make a difference on shots over 30 meters

The Yardage Pro (Sport) 450. (just a cute way of saying camo.)

I have a pair of Leupold RB800 range finding binoculars.

These are the best optics I have ever owned.

8x36 binoculars that will range out to 1000mtrs, light weight and easy to use one handed.

Without my rangefinder I would never take shots over 30 meters, under that I don't think you really need one.

Except for Rabbits that is, head shots are a lot easier when you know the exact distance.

Bushnell Yardage Pro Legend - absolutely essential for hunting.

I have had many, but my Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout has done most of the hard yards, but there are better IMO.

I have just got one of the new Leopold RX-II and I will see how well its works, other than that the best bowhunting rangefinder that most swear by is the Nikon 440 for the money!

Highly recommend the Nikon laser 440. Very smal unit easy to operate with one hand and tucks away nicely. Either way get a rangefinder as they make a world of difference and cuts down on poor hits from misjudged distance.

excelpoint,
Thats the exact same reason I own the one I do. The dreaded budget. And your right it will do the job easily.

Yep the dreaded budget. Gets smaller and smaller all the time. How do you like yours Bill. Hows the accuracy on it. Im assuming it should be pretty good, its not really a cheap bit of equipment.

Well I havent found a fault with mine yet. I actually played with it next to my brother in laws Nikon and at most they argued a yard. I actually use mine on its side as its easier for me to handle and have not found any trouble yet. Trust me if I have any trouble with it I will post it here.

I have the Rx-II, took it for a test drive on the week end seams very good the optics are excellent compared to my Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout, only pulled my Bino’s out once, very quick on the LOS readings (Line Of Sight) but with the unit set to Bow C it will not give you the readings for TBR at over 55m but it still give you the LOS instantly, maybe they set it that way, other that it is a very good unit IMO. Also it awesome compared to the Bushnell for grass and other material in the way it still gave excellent readings compared to my Bushnell will not, and to add it worked right into near darkness!
