Well I finaly got my shed into some kind of order , and I have successfully completed my cresting jig .
I thought I would post a couple of pics for all to see.

I start on the dipping tubes next ,and a tapering jig then I will make some timber arrows up.

Nice work mate.One thing I found when I made mine was that sometimes it was a bit hard to get the arrow to sit straight in the tubing so I tried the really think speargun rubber thats about 1" thick because it has a much thicker wall it stays straight.Just something to try.

The motor is off a sewing machine from the tip. I think I will have to change the switch to a light dimmer as the fan switch doesn't give me enough flexability.

Looks good Clinton, a light dimmer switch would work well I would imagine, you would be able to get the exact revolutions you want...Glenn...

We will have to retitle that jig Version 1 As it has undergone a few mods.
I have replaced the fan switch with a dimmer
I have changed the motor over because I couldn't get it to spin slow enough without stalling.
I am currently working out the cresting pattern for the first 6 target arrows ready for the weekend. I will post pics as I do them.

Got the pics ready of the first shaft but Photobucket is down at the moment so you will have to wait till tomorrow.
