hey guys just wondering if there is any thing i can do to my bow to make it quiter except put a stabilizer and cat wiskers on it iv also put glue (fletch tite) on the wire arrow rest to stop arrow noise as i draw just wanting to know if theres anything else i could do so if i take a shot at a deer he want jump the string
thanks jesse
I'm no expert at hunting deer but i think that most deer will jump the string no matter how quiet it is. If you're hunting in windy conditions where they are less likely to hear the noise, then i think you have a better chance.
Don't take my word for it though as i havn't hunted deer before.
It's based on what i have read and heard.

A lot of noise is generated from the limbs, do you have dampners fitted?

no i dont do they make mutch difference and will they slow my bow down
i noticed heaps of vibration on my bow when i first got it and whacked on a couple of sims dampners on my limbs. worked a treat.

on a stinking hot day up here in Darwin while i was at the bow club and one of my limbsavers fell off so i pulled the other off and it vibrated and was way noisier than before, until then i didn’t realize how much they did because i had put them on when i got the bow.

no i dont how mutch are they and like i aswked will they slow the bow down
limbsavers are the go mate  they cost about $20-$30 i think.
i doubt weather they'd slow your bow down.
jp's right though, it doesnt matter how quiet your bow is
they'll still hear it 9 times outta 10

seing as how noone else has answered it... no, the vibration dampners wont decrease you ibo speed, at least i know thats the case with split limb bows... not to sure about the solid limb bows...
i had my peep sight installed at bensons archery just when they were closing, so i told andrew (staff) that i'd put them in myself. i put 10 arrows through it without the fuse slugs in the limbs, and then put them in and tried again. i didnt really realise so much in noise in particular, but the vibration was reduced dramatically, and vibration=noise, so im pretty sure they'll shut the bow up a little bit

Bow jax and a heavier arrow. Works on all bows. Out of tune bows can be noisy. Martin Jag's whils not the quietest bow around are still not overly noisy so if it is making a loud bang I would be getting it checked out.

i dont think it would be out of tune to much as it is a single cam

Limb savers....string leeches....doinker stabiliser....& PSE NV system dampeners (mount behind limb bolts). Never had a deer jump the string. Fallow, red and even chital.
