Just having a look at cabelas and i'm just wondering if anyone knows why there are two prices on some of the items. I'm confused, is the first price the actual cost of the item or the second? :? :?

what item are you looking at? because it normally means that it varies, for e.g http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?rid=&indexId=cat20017&navAction=push&navCount=2&cmCat=MainCatcat21424&parentType=index&parentId=cat20017&id=0004465 it says $29.99~$36.99 beacuse if you click on it you find out that if you want a black case its $29.99 but if you want it in camo its $36.99

Postage can be expensive if using express air. I think they have a minimum fee of $30, so make your orders worthwhile..... Surface mail can take several weeks though.
I've been lucky enough to visit 2 stores a few years ago.AWESOME.
I'll be there again this time in a fortnight. Allow 2 days per visit....one to cheak everything out and one to do the shopping. I spent nearly $2000 on the last visit. At least the exchange rate is better this time round.
The stores are the size of a bunnings wharehouse and stock everything a hunter or fisherman could possibly need..and then some! Heaven on earth

Dangerous move letting the Oz bowhunting world know that you will be in the states and can bring back archery gear on the plane, youmight have a few new friends wanting to save postage. You could look interesting coming back on the plane with 5 Hard bow cases packed with archery gear "for the boys".

the next unlucky friend of mine to hit "The land of the free and the home of depraved" is going to get a shopping list as long as my arm, and believe me, i have LONG arms.

Late last year I was in the US for work and decided to pick a few bits from one of the outdoors outfitters in Florida. I bought a hardcase ($25USD) and decided it would be a good suitcase for the trip home, so it was packed with clothes and shoes (good cheap runners!).

US Customs & Immigration didnt even blink. Australian Customs were a different matter, they asked me three times what was in the case (including the guy on the X-Ray machine).

Then four different AQIS guys asked, I finally had to ask the AQIS guys what it had to do with them, the reply was "we all bow-hunt and wanted to see what new toys you had!".

P.S. Ironically when I got home my bow didn't fit the case...

I bought a new SKB Freedom case last month when I was back home. Along with a new Germin Legend GPS and Bushnell Rangefinder.
The GPS and Rangefinder I kept in my carry on and noone said anything.
Noone asked about the case either since I had taken the bow over in the old case.
Also cost me $67.00 US to send all the other stuff back I couldnt fit in my case.
I sent it from my sisters house in her name marked gift so hopefully they wont catch it and charge me duty. Its worked before.
