P.S. Sorry guys I will have to get some more pics up soon :D
Mate you sure they are fallow rubs? They are huge! I havent seen anyting bigger than a sapling rubbed by fallow before. Are there any other deer in the area? They could very well be fallow i wouldnt know just different than what i'm used to seeing.

Yeah mate i'm about 95% sure that they're fallow :!: The fallow I've seen up here, they're about the size of a small horse  :!:
The antlers that i've seen up here on fallow would easily go 215 DP's and more:!:
That was about the biggest rub up there anyway, the rest of the rubs were from that size down to just a mere scratch on a sapling 8)
There are reds up here but there aren't as many as the fallow :) There have also been rusa spotted and shot up here by rifle shooters a few years back  :D

I too was wondering if they were fallow rubs or not.
It would be hard for a fallow to rub the bark off the tree and not knock that little dead branch off while he was at it. I have never seen a rub go to the ground level like that either.
I suppose though that you are the best person to determine these things, after all you were there and we weren’t.

Jason, you can actually see where the antler has marked the tree......I highly doubt that it were just some cows,,,,,,,Cows just smooth out the tree whereas the deer scratch it,,,,,,,just to restate that point......... :)

P.S. sorry stoka i don't think there is one of me next to a rub  8) because I took all the pics and ben got footage for our movie 8)

Where????
yeh, i got no idea how whatever it was got the bark cleany awar from around the twig poking one without breaking it, i mean like there is not one bit of bark around the twig even in its crevises, and about that point, the tree looks fresh... kinda like the barks was just pulled right off :? :? :?
