What does an R-Licence do for you? What sort of cost is invoved? A few of my dads mates go on an annual trip, im keen to get in on it if i can get time off work :) I definetly need a lot of practice before i start shooting live targets (havnt fired an arrow yet going down to the range this morning!)

Cheers

R-Licence in a nutshell, go check out http://www.gamecouncil.nsw.gov.au/portal.asp?p=ConHunting
Costs $60, gives you access to NSW state forests (closest ones for us Canberrans are Wee Jasper, Micalong, Bondo, Tallaganda)

Even if you don't intend hunting in state forests, it's still worthwhile getting a licence so we support the option for the future.

Well had my first shot at the range today, and quickly made my way home to make a target! We have an 9 year old sheep and all his fleece so filled a chook food bag and works great...
Broke the flights on 3 arrows (cheapies) and fixed them with superglue they seem to be right now :) Ill invest in some of better quality next pay day...
Anyway I am now officially addicted and busting to get more practice in.

Cheers
