I went out on a recon trip a few weeks back, I ended up about 4 klms from the camp when I came across this bruiser and a few of his mates.

I stalked in to 31 yards when I took these pics. It was exciting to say the lest. I wish I could now tell you how the Buff fell to a razor sharp broadhead after travelling only twenty yards. Unfortunately thats not quite how it ended but still it was great, and I will be back out there very soon.

Cheers Noel

You'd be surprised. Some restaurants sell buffalo and I've heard from people who have ordered it that it is pretty tender.

You sure can eat it, BEAUTIFUL..........

To say my heart was racing would be like saying that an F1 car is quick.

Not quiet the right angle for a Texas heart shot, maybe behind the rear rib... :)

Would a Texas heart shot be a considered on an animal that size ? Would it be an effective shot to take?

After seeing first hand how much these beast can absorb from both Rifle and Bow, I would not recommend a texas Heart shot, unless you had a bazooka!

you'd probably have to have a 70 pounder, but you have to think that you dont have to penetrate the thick hid or anything so... i think youd probably have an lright chance, especially because if your hunting buff you'd want to have a pretty heavy arrow anyways...

I've never heard of anyone trying a texas heart shoot on a buff. an animal that size has the attitude to match. mine I hit from 15 metres with a 70# 2317 tipped with a ribby I've shot those same arrows through a 44 gallon drum but on the buff it stopped at the fletches

they are tough, when in doubt get closer
