I agree Robbo.
Great rest, stops you having to stuff around holding an arrow on your rest all the time, and i got mine for $62 AUD including post on Ebay from the states.
No moving parts to break. Simple

Had a QT800 but decided the WB would be better suited to me. Nothing wrong with the rest imho.

ive got a cavalier super flyte. good rest, only problem is that you can not tune it to sit up or down like the free flyte but none the less still an awesome rest for the price.

well I bought a "Delux Whisker Biscuit" today.
put it on the bow and in five minutes and a couple of adjustments I had fletch tearing groups at 20m :D
Have to wait till I get to the club to shoot longer distance then 20m.
But so far It's a big thumbs up for the "DWB"
Solid made unit thats a sinch to attach and set up in next to no time at all.

Deluxe QS Whisker Biscuit :P A fantastic arrow rest :!:

The deluxe model has the adjustable windage/elevation, which is really nice when you are looking to get things 'just so' :D 8)

Well i just brought a cavalier avalance dropaway and its awsome the flat delay spring causes a slight delay wich means the arrow stay on the lancher for longer and that means more acuracy but you need a arrow guid cos the lancher is alloy and i is a bit slipery for the arrow and it sometimes can fall of the lancher...

I've got a hostage rest. They work brilliantly. This could be the biggest competition for the WB. 360 containment yet full fletching clearance. I've seen a couple of reviews on the net that suggest it's a little quieter and faster than a WB as well. One word of caution though: Make sure your arrows are tuned correctly for the clearance. With a WB its all bristles so it doesn't really matter, but with the short bristles mounted in a plastic block on the hostage, if your fletching does make contact you're in a world of hurt! Having said that, setting the clearance is a breeze though.

I havn't used better than the PSE TopGun Prowler drop-away, went from a Whisker Biscuit that I tried for a while, and straight back to a drop away. The Prowler is for me! :)

... Total arrow clearance!

The PSE made TopGun Prowler drop-away is just plain simple and dependable. Fully enclosed unit which is 100% metal and does not have any exposed springs or gadgets.

Goes down at the shot quickly (80#'s and it still gets full clearance)

rugged and simple, love it! :)

I have been using the Trophy Taker Micro Dropaway for about the last year and a half. I have used it mostly for Target Archery and it has been awesome. I have never had any issues and it has always done the job. Easy to tune and either fat or thin arrows are suited to it.

Just my 2c worth...On my X-F I recently swapped from the WB rest (as I was getting constant fletch contact on the inside metal rim) to the Spott Hogg Whammy...The rest took all of 2 minutes to set up...and as it attaches to the "up" cable rather than the "down" as per most conventional drop away's the rest rope is reasonably taught at rest then slackens at full draw thereby eliminated any pressure or "torque"" on the cable to affect timing..At the shot the rest jerks downwards giving total fletch clearance..the prongs also do a good job at full containment (though not as good as the WB). So far the rest has prooved to be a real winner. :D:D

i have the TR DZ hunter and think its awesome total fletching clearance and super quiet, i've previously used the alpine match grade and the whisker biscuit and found this to be better than both

cheers

Received a Hostage Pro in the mail today, first impressions are good.

Solid, all aluminum.
Easy to fit.
Can fit two mounting bolts, which is something I like on rests (although it only came with one mounting bolt in the packet).
The instructions that came with it are easy to follow.
Arrow fits snug in rest, and rest can be adjusted for different diameter shafts.
Easy to set up, I set it up in under 10mins.
Bow draws silent and could not detect any arrow noise on draw or release.
Feels solid and looks solid on the bow which is what I look for in a hunting rest. Should be good for both Target/3D and hunting.
Will test in the bush soon and let you know how it holds up.

Just wondering what stops the arrows from slipping off the centre platform if you have a crappy draw...and how does it go if you shoot 4 fletches ???

Hostage Pro. The rest design is a capture style, you would have to try really hard to force the arrow off the rest.:) If your draw is that bad I would recommend a coaching clinic.:P

It is designed for arrows with 3 vanes only, I find it perfectly compliments 3 x 2 inch blazers.

If the rain stops I will try in the bush this weekend and be able to give a better review.

i have a bikky and find it real good... but have a question for anyone who is a fall away shooter
i watched a video on a wb qs rest being fired in slow motion and the arrow looked like it wanted to jump up on release (because of arrow flex) but the bristles stopped it so what happens on a fall away rest cos it drops away the split second the trigger is squeezed so if the arrow wanted to jump with the shock of the k.e. being built up then you would think it would go all over the shop?
