anyone live in mt isa

i am in mt isa for a week then off to century zinc/lawn hill from the beggining of june anyone live up that way and is there a club to have a shot at or a quick hunt.

Jason the Mt Isa Club is pretty strong so I would expect somebody to pick up on this thread.

Otherwise if you look in the last Archery Action I think Pitty's phone no is in there. Or look Up Garry & Rhonda Pitt Mt Isa in the phone book.

Well have not heard Lawn hill or Century Zinc in a long time. I worked there in 1994, we were drilling the holes for relief around one of the sites. Thats when it was closed down for a while due to some Aboriginal land rights disagreements.

I don't live there, as you know, but I am proud to say my Dad was one of the three founding members of the Mt Isa and District Bowhunters Club back in June of 78...disappointingly though he didn't receive an invite to their 25th Anniversary celebrations even though he visited them the year before and was responsible for them even knowing they'd been around for 25 yrs...a bit ironic one might think...

You could jump on Ozbow Jason, a heap of members on there are from the Isa...Greg Hovi is one bloke you could look up when there...he's heavily involved last I heard...

Hey jason, i have not lived there for 7 years now but still no some people there that hunt but have there hands full at the moment so could not take you for a hunt but if you head out to the club early sunday im sure you could get some info from people there and maybe a shoot.
you turn left at the first grid on the way out to lake Moondarra, it was a great club when i was there, very nice people

thamks boys does not look like i will get a shot anyway as we have 7 days work to do in 5 days so not much time to spare , i will take my bow anyway and try and get down the club.
