driving home yesterday and there was a dead rusa hind on the bruce highway at kallangur...... I would say an escape. hope a few more got out and make a herd in the bush and state forests..

Hey Jason,
Although now living in Cairns (and loving it) I am actually a Caboolture boy so I know the area well. You want to see wild herds of them take a drive out past Woodford and take a left towards Peachester and drive up the Belthorpe Range. A couple of deer farms (stay off private land) up there but escapees have thrived up there - take a drive there on sun-up and you'll not only experience beautiful country but see magnificent deer aswell. Definately not a hunting tip though I'd be polite and leave my bow at home until you know someone up there with land and WILD deer on it.
