cabelas??????

hey guys,
i ordered my cabelas gear ages ago and got an email saying it was sent on the 29/8/06 but there is still no sign of it :( :?
i have heard most peoples order is at there doorstep in 2 weeks or so.
now i know there is the shipping that cost $15 or $35 (american dollars) and they charged me $50 au which is very colse to $35 US. and this is meant to be the fast shipping.
any help is apperciated.

I cant believe you guys have waited more than a week or two.

Bad news is that they are expensive and their shipping cost outrageous. It took 2 and a half months for my last order to arrive - never again. There are a number of other outlets in the US that can offer the same service as Cabelas but more efficiently and cheaply.

In my experience, (quite a few orders) the tracking system details have been accurate. Rohan, Clive- I agree it is outrageous, but at which point is/was your order held up? Within the U.S. or Australian customs? The last order I made (placed 22/9) I received in 6 days. Contact them early morning (Oz time) on Cablea's Live Help:

Actually Iam having dramas with Bass Pro shops.
Wife and I ordered some stuff.
In the first email they sent me they said the order was shipped.
In the second email they said my card did not go through.
(Why would they ship it before putting the card through?????)
I emailed them that I will wait untill I get my credit card statement before I send any more money to them.
I havent received a 3rd email yet.

and when i try to track my order normally with my last name and postcode it says i am not on the records :shock: :?

I have ordered heaps from Cabelas over the years, always here within two weeks and normally in a week, get the tracking number and track it, the sooner you do it the better your chances are of getting it...Glenn...

There must have ask for email address mate for confirmation that the have sent you like with every order, I would just email them back as ask when if they can help, Cabalas service is normally very, very good.

Also if you picked surface mail (cheapest) it wouldn’t give you a step by step placement of your order like the full %40 postage cost method, only a shipping date and a delivery date, but it can take up to 2 months to get here on occasions even though like most here it is normally arrives within 2 weeks.

Just email them mate they will sort it all out for you.

I am suprised you have not got your items yet.... It may have something to do with customs because I know that customs were having alot of difficulties with a new system implementation a couple of months ago and they were litterally months behind... Not too sure whether that was just confined to the docks though!

I orded a deer camera and it took at least 2 months I had all but given up when it finally turned up on my door step. that was my experience .
