I'm about to make the plunge and order a bow I would like to hear from anyone who has either Samick SHT or Talon. Likely use is Traditional than Hunting. I will be shooting both Wood(once I can order some shafts still trying to email Ben for Vic Ash does anyone know what is going on there?) and Carbons. I want to use a rest, feathers or vanes??
I would really appreciate any feedback. I am 50 years old and plan 40-45# so not likely to increase poundage.
Thanks for any help.

I have a Samick Talon and reckon that it's a bargain.
Mine has a stick on Hoyt rest and I shoot Vic Ash shafts with 5" feathers.
It is a very accurate bow and, when setup properly with wool balls in the string, felt under the limb pockets and the right brace height, is very quiet.
Some of them tend to stack at longer draw lengths but mine is fine at 29.5".
Also, if you do buy one, make sure that they give you the right string as some have been bought new with too long a string.
Check with Mick Smith on this site as he uses Silver Quondong shafts and rates them highly.
Might try them myself when I lose all my Vic Ash shafts in Goat country.
I recently purchased aTalon at 45lb I have a 29" draw and have not noticed any stacking, the only trouble was that it was supplied with astring which was to long and I could not get the right brace height, but thanks to a member of this sight I was able to organise a flemish twist string at the correct lenght and have found the Talon a sweet bow to shoot

Big thanks to Robbo (Andrew) and his family for their kind welcome to their club and the oppurtunity to try out Samick Talon prior to me deciding on my future purchase. Thank you much appreciated, good to see and experience the friendship within the network.
Cheers
