Oooo- my other passion- Live_to_hunt: I Live_to_listen!! Impossible to answer, but if forced, I'd have to say Stairway To Heaven. No surprises and cliche- but the thing is, it's a song I've grown with; it's seen me through my adolescent to adult life and I manage to update/re-interpret the meaning of the lyrics in relation to my life every decade. Can't ask more than that for a song. Well, except for the classic "Shaddup You Face" by Joe Dolce, perhaps.

thunderstruck and "welcome to the jungle" were just about the theme songs of our recent New England bowhunt. We thought "welcome to the jungle" was an appropriate bowhunting song.
My tastes are a bit more towards ballads:
Throw your arms around me -Hunters and Collectors
Walking in Memphis- Marc Cohn
On every Street- Dire Straits
Hallelujah- Rufus Wainwright
Down Under- Men at work
Oh yeah, and Enter Sandman. :D
Puk
Owen, do you know the story behind that song?
Puk
Breathe- Prodigy
any Trace Adkins
any Sara Storer
any Steve Forde and the Flange

Gnome,
hefty sent me an SMS from a trivia night the other night (cheater!), wanting to know the name of the ship that was sunk by the Bismarck in 1941. It was only because our dad has similar tastes to yours that i was able to tell him the answer: the Hood! We listened to them i nthe car for years.
