Ok, I'm gonna take the plunge and float the idea of another shirt run.

Shirts would need to be paid for upfront, prior to ANY orders being place with manufacturers.

Are there any members keen to help design a shirt?

My thoughts were that we could include the sponsors logos on them and perhaps approach them to help out with the setup costs of embroidery or screen printing. This would give them some exposure and help keep costs down for members.

What are our thoughts?

Not a bad idea Luke,

If your gunna make them then please dont make them out of the same material as the last lot of shirts. Mine has never come out of the cupboard!!

Are we talking polo style shirts ? There is a place next door to where I work that does that kind of thing.

I agree the stitching on the hem of mine came undone after the first wash and has several pulled threads that haapend just to easliy. (does anyone know how to get coffee stains out??)

See what ideas I can come up with as to designs for new shirt

They'd not be of the same material Maxy I too found it pulls very easily.

Doesn't stop me wearing it though 8)

We could do a polo and a tee if people are keen. The tee would obviously be cheaper than the polo and we could do it as a simpler design etc.

I have already got a company lined up that has our logo digitised so we'd not need to pay the fee to have that done again. It's where I got the caps done. Also we have the place where we got the last run of shirts done (early last year I believe) so we could go there again, although it was a little expensive ;)

only problem last time was that we went for such a detailed picture on the back the only company that would do them was the one organised. If they fell apart we probably should have spoke up earlier and we could have got them replaced, by the sounds a few went. I rang at least a dozen screen printers and none were interested in doing a detailed logo only for a couple of shirts.
maybe we should just get something simple embroided ansd screen printed as my kids uniforms all come from that mob ( the idea came from) and my union shirts and none of them have gone bad so maybe we should hit them up about the material.
It was fun with everyone putting ideas forward last time so would be good to do again.
Luke i would be happy to help again

What about one in either camo or a khaki colour so we can wear it hunting 8)

Puk
24-10-06, 06:59 AM
I don't know about wearing it hunting....
The animals don't care where we are from.
We would be wearing them to advertise the site and our sponsors, yes?

I love the idea, as i was not a member last time so don't already have a shirt.

I would prefer polo. Maybe we should do one of each as opinions on style sound pretty divided.

Puk

One of each was the intention ;) And you could choose one or the other, or both.

The polo would, as expected, be a bit dearer, but along with that, more "fancy". The tee would be for those with simpler taste and not as large a budget ;)

8)

robbbo
24-10-06, 04:52 PM
I would put my name down for both as I was also not a member last time and missed out, both Adam and I would be proud to wear TBGA shirts in any style 8)

Mate I will have at least two of each  .

The material of the last T shirt is good in some cases and typically I wear mine to shoots, but it would not be my first choice again

Please note however I once wore mine to gym and I had the worst case of raw nipps ever so please take my advice and dont do any form of exercise in one

Here's what I've come up with so far.

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k205/griffo79/shirts/green-yellow-green-with-bh.jpg

Things like logo and font sizes would change a bit as they have to be a bit larger than in real life so you can actually see/read the text on the screen.

A Tee shirt design is not far away too :P

Of course, this is just the start and feedback is welcomed on all aspects.

cheers.

Luke
09-12-06, 07:20 PM
Haven't gotten that far yet Brandon, still working on the designs.

This is just a few examples of my first attempts to get a feel for what you blokes (and girls) would like.

I've got to do a more basic design for a tee (as apposed to the polo designs you see above) that will be a cheaper option.

I haven't even gotten to consulting with the manufacturers yet but will do so soon :P

cheers.

An update to correct an omission - my apologies also to Mick for forgetting to include the logo for Trohpy Bowhunts Australia on the shirt design.

So, here's the updated version.

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k205/griffo79/shirts/green-yellow-green-with-bh-1.jpg

Are there any changes at all that people's would like to see?

thanks for the compliments and feedback so far.

Is a white collar the best, or will it show up sweat/dirt quicker than other colours?

Puk

10-12-06, 09:30 PM
mate i would like to see trophy bowhunts on the front insted of have 2 logos on the back

Luke
10-12-06, 09:35 PM
A) I didn't know what colour to make the collar, so I've left it for now.

B) If I put the TBHA logo on the front - it'd not be too clear (from the front) exactly who/whom the shirt was "for". IE it's a TBGA shirt and also shows we're supported by the adorning sponsors (as implied by the presence of their logo).

But if you were to see a TBHA logo next to a TBGA logo on the front...who would the average Joe assume the shirt "belonged" to?

8)

HOOD
10-12-06, 09:56 PM
One the back how about putting one sponsor at the top then the TBGA spiel then another sponsor at the bottom.

HOOD
10-12-06, 09:59 PM
Or you could have the sponsors names on the sleves and no logos a bit like the HRT FPV racing shirts.

And have you forgotten about WOODIES OUTBACK BROADHEADS, BLING STRINGS as a sponsors

Luke
10-12-06, 10:05 PM
Each sponsor was asked if they'd like their logos on the shirts and if so, if they'd be willing to pay for the logo set up fee for the digitisation of their own logo - thus keeping the cost as low as possible for you but helping us make a top shelf, professional looking shirt.

Those who were interested you see on the shirts...those who weren't...aren't.

Luke,
I'm not wanting to be picky, but i was just wondering about the font for the TBGA on the back of both shirts.
It isn't possible for you to do it in Capitals in the font and colours you have it in on your signature photo, is it?
I think it looks really effective.

Just a thought,

Hey Puk,

I have acutally changed it on the updated version of the polos (the one with Mick's logo on it now) but forgot to when I did the T design

It's not the same exact, but pretty close.

I'm not sure how the orange and yellow would fit in with the green gold on the shirt but :?

I'll have a play :P

cheers mate

be interested to see the final product first. Last one has stayed in the drawer whole time. Is it just me or are these really baggy sleeves on the polo's a pain for getting in the way of the string of a canted tradbow?

Maaaaaaaaate! Thumbs up for the collar, will it add any extra to thecosta though?

The Arrow heads that are all over the polo shirt can they be put on the T's? just thinking along the lines of cammo when one is wareing out hunting.

Gnome!

Luke
12-12-06, 02:54 PM
The arrows could be on the T shirts, but the we're doing T's so people can get a shirt for under $20. The arrows would only push the price up.

The camo on the collar might make it a tad more expensive. We'll have to see.

8)

Garden Gnome!
12-12-06, 03:03 PM
Yeh thought as much bout the price for the T's. Perhaps you could have a choice Plain or for that little extra the arrows just a thought though.

Approximate costs at this stage will be:

Polo's $35 plus postage.

T's $15 plus postage.

The artwork is currently being sorted at the manufacturer's and when I have a definite price I'll let ya'll know.

When I get the definate price I'll put a thread up asking for orders.

These shirts will be in a pay BEFORE you receive basis only.

We've been caught well out of pocket on too many occasions in the past with people ordering (stickers, caps and shirts) to be ordering shirts before members pay.

8)

Luke
29-12-06, 04:27 PM
I received the test print from the manufacturers just the other day, and, let me tell you, IMO these shirts will look **** hot!

There were a few lil things that needed tweaking so I've emailed them today and am waiting for their reply.

A definate price is not too far away and I'll be asking for orders soon.

Hope you didn't spend all your money at Christmas! ;)
