deer signs on nth side of brissy

The other week there was a dead rusa on the highway and this week there is deer crossing signs near lakeside raceway, has anyone seen deer in the area. i have asked around and no-one has ever seen one other than in pens :?: :?:

I saw that deer sign at lakeside a few weeks ago and thought wtf. I have lived in the area for 20 years and never seen a deer ever !!

Gidday Jason , mate I gotta pull my finger out and catch up with you . Not sure if I told you a few months back about 1.00 pm I was driving the work van down near the turn off for the abbey museum and I saw a red deer hind out on that blokes strawberry field who accidently shot that lady as she drove up to Bribie a while back .
I know he has Elk and Fallow stags so I cant be sure it was not an escapee from his breeding program but it is no surprise to me that deer are that close as they are well established out D'Agular Woodford way .It's only a few months back that a Rusa stag was hit by a car on the indooroopilly bridge for gods sake so why not in our back yards . regards Perry
