thinking of buying from cabelas?

just a quick post to anyone buying online,Try walmart as well they all ways seem to be just abit cheaper!! and I have only heard good feedback. best of luck

i ordered my cabelas stuff about 3 months ago and it got sent 9 weeks ago and no sign of my gear even after 2 phone calls.
but everyone else says the service is great (they were very helpful when i rang)

Something has gone wrong there Rohan, did they give you a tracking number. Everything I have ever ordered from Cabelas has arrived and usually in less than 10 working days.

Sounds as though they are fobbing you off Rohan. Do yuo knoiw if the goods were sent air mail or surface because surface mail will take around three months to arrive here...Glenn...

i think it got sent surface mail.
BUT i paid $50 au dollars for postage and that was meant to be the fast method because $50 au is around $35 us dollras and on their catalogs that is the quick method :? :x

That's a lot of money Rohan, when you do get your parcel take the matter up them about how much you paid for postage, the parcel will be stamped surface or air, Cabelas are normally the best to deal with.
Whenever I ring the States I buy a Say G'day phone card and I use it from my home phone, it's a cheap way to ring up the States especially if it's going to take time to sort out, I think a $10.00 card gives you an hours talking...Glenn...

I got a boat sent to me by Cabelas a couple of weeks ago and it arrived in five days.It was a big box and weighed 22 kilos.It cost me 90 bucks Aus postage but still made it half the price of anything here.

very sorry i had a mate get back from the US he said how good they were (apparently you dont buy ammo by the box you buy it by the pound!) anyway he told me to check there site out when i saw international shipping I automaticly thought they would ship here I was wrong it said they dont ship overseas once again sorry my mistake. sb

I just ordered 2 Plano Deluxe Double Bow cases, 2 Plano Arrow cases and a Chronogragh. and they sent me an email with the tracking number for the packages check the website and there on there way to LA and then to Australia should have them by the end of the week. Have ordered before from Cabela's and have always had good service.

I use cabela's also, no probs usually except the last lot when it took dead on 3mnths :cry: to get here. normally 10 working days :D

You have to specify that you want air frieght when ordering, costs more but it gets here quickly. The slow boat from china is cheaper but can take several weeks. I've never had any problems ordering from the states.
