hey,lol this is embarriesing but can someone tell me how to take th string off my bow
Use a bow stringer mate  Get one for a recurve, (I use a 'limb to tip' style) put each end of it where it is designed to go, stand on the stringer string and pull up, releaving the tension of the limbs. Then just slide the string at one end off, then take it off totally.
(or easier still, just follow the instructions that come with the stringer  )

i dont have a stringer and i heard its bad to leave the string on
buy a stringer........  :D
....will cost you $10-$15 bucks and will save you poo loads if you bugger your bow in the process of trying to string/un-string your bow incorrectly :!:

thanks what should i do in the mean time of now and friday ?
What sort of bow is it mate if it is a modern type recurve with glass in it then dont worry about it.It can stay strung pretty much indefinatley,if I am shooting twice a week or more I never unstring mine.If it was a self bow then unstring it when finished. With the cheaper curves I have owned in the past I just bent it around my leg but with my new Robertson I choose to use a stringer for the sake of saftey for the bow and thats part of the warranty.

yeah its wood but i dunno how to get the actual string off lol or how to do that leg thing
Brandon, I suggest you just leave it on until you buy yourself a stringer or get shown how to do it with a collar/belt mate. I saw the pictures you posted and it is a modern glass laminated bow and leaving it strung won't affect it at all imo. :D

g'day just read your dilema on your recurve bow
i had a recurve bow that too had a twisted limb but mannaged to fix it
get a big bucket boil water put the hot water in the bucket cover your limbs with a plastic bag so it doesnt get water on it put the damaged limb into the water and let it sit for 10 min. remove the limb and put in a bending jig which you will have to make and twist limb back the way you want it. let it cool right down and leave over night to let the wood/fibre glass a "memory" this method worked great for me, but if you undertake this method you bare the responsibility if you fail.
and just a few more things for keeping your bow from twisting again
dont leave it standing up in a corner
dont put the string on reverse to store the bow (crazy i know but ive seen it done before)
good luck with your bow hope this was a help
cheers lumberjack
