I joined the forum recently. The default for pages is black text on a dark silver gray -- very difficult to read. On my PROFILE I have changed BOARD STYLE more than once. Nothing changes.
How may I have a light background with black text?
Try adjusting the contrast and brightness of your monitor mate.
See how that goes and let us know if it doesn't help.

Changing contrast I cannot do. I view a titanium PowerBook's LCD screen. Hardware and system software control everything about screen viewing except brightness.
I render the forum's web pages readable by significantly increasing brightness, and by enlarging viewed text to 200 percent. Unfortunately, when increasing text size, sometimes threads reflow, sometimes they do not. When they do not, I must scroll side-to-side to read.

My difficulty is that the contrast between ROMAN fonts (some are black, some white) and background is insufficient. Silver-gray blends beautifully with ROMAN's ascenders and descenders.
