To date this is my personal best goat taken while hunting with a boy now a matured young man on one of my favourite properties out at Mudgee.

He measures 119.5 Dp with a spread of 40.5 inch one arrow at forty yards. He is what I call the son of the legend witnessed by my main hunting partner Luke (Bunggie) Vanderdrift and hunted by many but as yet not taken he has an estimated spread of 60plus inch and 3 full curls.

That was ten years past now, and after a phone call to my Uncle last night he and two of my cousins have confirmed he still gets around up there as he was seen while mustering only 3 days ago.

I will be going out there with Bunggie for 14 days after my Trial is over and hopefully one of us will be bringing The legend home.

It's a RECOM!

Well actually it's an Oneida Eagle Light force Magnum set on 90# at 29" I affectionately call her "Crumpett" 8)

She is in Lock Up at Warratah Police Station still

Very nice goat Chris! :P

I bet you've dreamed many a night about his big Daddy

Has anyone put a stalk on the big fella yet?

Yes to your question Luke I put two on him in one day and both times he could sense there was something amiss and would look straight at me as if to say BUSTED then turn and run off

Then on another occasion while scouting with no bow, I got to four feet of him snoozing and gave him the fright of his life when I said in a deep tone What was you doing on the night of the 4th  Still makes me laugh when I think of it.

Since then the cousins and uncle have seen him they just say hi with a wave and keep going about there business.

Myself and Luke are the only one allowed to hunt the property as my Uncle has had more than a few hunters go ruining things and poaching has been a big prob off late
