Hi all

I’m looking to buy a rangefinder and am wondering what your opinions and experiences are. Is it worth paying more to get a model with more features (ie are they worth it for a bow hunter?), are there any brands that stand out or should be avoided and where is the best place to get one?

And anything else you care to pass on.

Cheers in advance

I have a bushnell yardage pro 450 that I recommend.
Small, light works in both yards and meters.

I’ve owned and Optic logic (Crap) an used a Bushnell Yardage Scout for 4 year (was a decent unit), but I am currently using Leopold RX-II which is allot better IMO by far!

I got a bushnell yardage pro sport on ebay from the U.S. for $110AUD delivered because it was a year old.
Great handy little tool for practice, hunting and for just going for walks and practising judging range and then seeing how close you were.

It also works in yards and metres. Unfortunately another thing to carry along with the binos, gps, camera and uhf, but it is worth it.

I got mine second hand off Archerytalk...Good mob of blokes and quite happy to negotiate a fair price but you need to know the value of the goods you want to buy over here or you can end up paying too much...
