Does anyone out there use an alternative to a peep on the string?
I was reading in one of the American mags’ about a thing called a "hind-sight", which is a set of cross-hairs that sit back from the riser and eliminates the use of a peep sight. All you do is line up the cross-hairs with the appropriate pin, which they believe is a lot faster than a peep.

I’m just getting sick of the peep tubing breaking and the peep moving. are there any other products like this in oz?

Mate I have just put on the Reflex a product called a No-Peep. Its sits just above or just below your pin sights. It looks quite daunting at first and you wonder how the hell does that work. Do a search on the Timberline No-peep and it will come up and explain things a bit better than what I can here. There is one for sale in the classifieds here on TBGA. I have trouble seeing through and ordinary peep (old age will do that to you) and I like to see everything out in front of me. I have only had the No peep on for about a week and already I am shooting alot more consistently and my groups have closed in considerably. What it does is make you come back to the exact anchour point everytime. If you sway off slightly like tourquing the bow the No peep will go out of line with your eye sight and you can not see the dot in the center. It takes awhile to set them up
( about an our for me) but they do work very well indeed. At first you think you look through it but you don't. After some heavy practise the No-peep is there in your perephial vision but you dont look at it if you get what I mean. When first starting out you just line the pin up to your required target and have a quick glance at the No -peep. If the spot is in the center of the circle you are set. Drawing the next arrow everything should be the same. A good way to set them up is draw the bow with an arrow on the string with your eye's closed. Come back to your comfortable anchour point then open your eyes. The No peep should be spot on. As I said it will take awhile to set up and I found that when you do the locking scews up it tends to shift slightly and that slight movement will put the No-peep out of line with your preferd anchour so you have got to get it just right. You will have to move your sights slightly as the plate that holds the No-peep is about 1/8" thick and sits in behind your sight plate. Hope this helps you out, it certainly did me! Cheers Scott

Ever since I put a custom string on my bow (Bling String), I have had zero peep rotation and have no need for noisy tubing. This would be the way I would go as you also get other advantages like more speed, retained tuning and quietness from a custom string.

thanks for the info everyone. i'll look into the no-peep scott, hopefully it will fix my problem.
if i had time i would just make my own 'hind-sight' using a target scope and the mounts off my old toxonics pin sights.
i'm a firm believer that weekends should be 3 days long, it would give me time to do the fun stuff in life..... here piggy, piggy...

The NO PEEP is a good option for hunting. It keeps you consistant, for sure.
But as Antarcher said, you should get a decent string. You shouldnt need that peep tubing. The Bling String would be a good option, or Vapor Trail or Winners Choice.and a Fletcher Tru- Peep or even better, a G5 Mega Peep.
