What equipment do you use, are you a longbow or recurve man. Heres a link to a great online book, Hunting with the Bow and Arrow, by Saxton Pope and Art Young.

http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/8084

What ever you shoot, it's probably a result from the influence of these two pioneers of modern bowhunting.

If you download it in html, you get all the illustrations too :D

Another great man

I shoot Bear Take Downs, and as money permits, will collect as many as I can, Fred was my personal bowhunting idol, and a lot of people are fans of his memory.

I hope you enjoy reading these, and Pete W, I am still :D at the XXXX ad you sent

Not a hole twists or cracks, I'm going to make a new flemish string and replace the arrowrest it will be ready.

It shoots like a dream.

I have a 52# just like it I bought new in about 1973..

Nralife I bought a 55# Kodiak Hunter over thirty years ago, it's exactly the same as yours. It was my first hunting bow, I still have it and it still shoots well. I don't use it anymore, she has taken more than her fair share of pigs and goats and I have used it a lot for bowfishing as well.
Fred Bear made some of the classic recurves, the Hunter is one...Glenn...
