I went up and got in some practice at the range today cause we're off on a hunt this weekend.
On the way back I thought ill just scout around a couple of places I have seen rabbits and I was driving along and saw a bloke out the front of one of the properties I had in mind getting his mail from the letter box .
I stopped the car and went and spoke to him and now I can proudly say ive secured a property. :D
He reckons theres heaps there including black ones white ones and some ginger ones.
He took me for a walk around the paddocks and as soon as we walked into the first paddock I saw a rabbit and that was in the middle of the day so it looks promising.
Its made my day cause that is the first time ive approached a property owner with the door knocking method.Even though he was out the front already its a success. :D

Just goes to show if you dont ask you'll never know

Every now and then a nice bottle of wine or a 6 pack of beers goes along way in thanking him for his kind access. May some fresh seafood or lending a day fencing etc. Never know if you dont ask. well done mate Howie

the owner might appreciate some of the rabbit stew too Jeffro.
Often the farmers/landowners are too busy to enjoy that sort of thing that came off their own land. (To make it themselves i mean)

Just a thought.
