yeh pat dad's using the twilight hunter at the moment. were mainly doing aba shoots at the dubbo club but we try to hunt as much as possible on weekends and in school holidays. and ive heard that drop aways are alright for finger shooting.
the trophy ridge sights are going for about 80 bucks. dad got his twilight hunter sights for about 100 bucks. dads sights seem very heavy cause theyre all metal but the flatliner is plastic. and cause im shooting a very light recurve at the moment i want light sights when i get the compound.

ok ur a finger shooter, didnt take that in equation :)
go for the drop away then..
id still prefer the swords as they are metal, less likly to damage, but at end of day mate its what ur happy with is all that matters :)
im sure ull do fine...

thanks for the advice pat. ill take on board your comments about the swords and that is true they are all metal (hmm difficult choice there).
and you know what, if i do get the flatliner, and dont like them i can always sell them! :D I think i will ask the bloke at the dubbo club who uses the flatliner and see what he thinks...

Hi mate
The flatliner was my first bow sight, the v pin is grate but……….. when you look at the sight the fiber optic comes out from the bottom of it, and if you are looking at the 5 pin like I did once its all sighted in your first pin (the shortest pin) sticks out of the bottom a little and that makes a loop with the cable. It sticks down so much that the vanes hit fiber optic cable when you shoot an arrow. It brakes and doesn’t shine as bright.
(this is what happed to me any way)
I would recommend and I wish some one told me about this, that if you’re a righty get the left handed model you can flip it upside and turn it around so effectively you make a rhino (trophy ridges more expensive sight) where the pins come down from the top and the fiber optic is above the sight well out of the way of the arrow.

thanks Matt ill take that into consideration when it comes time to choose...
also, what are the pins like when shooting? do the higher pins get in the road when you are shooting longer distances?

Not that I have found, I just focus on the one pin. Try to get the thinnest type of fiber optic cable.

i have been using a flatliner on my darton for almost a year now and had no problems yet, the lever system they have for the pins are easy to use and adjust.
i havn't had the problem where the fibre optic loop hits my arrows, and i use 2" blazers and a NAP 3000 rest which is also good (super easy to adjust). i would use a release 'the whities' if you are using a prong type rest
