For me the best quiver is still the back quiver, it's by far the fastest quiver to use, it doesen't suit every application out hunting but for ease of use and speed you can't go past a back quiver I reckon...Glenn...

when i take my curve out hunting i'll use my back quiver.
a hip quiver i reckon would be more likely to snag, and a bow quiver on a trad bow makes them look ugly

Thick scrub is not normally a problem for back quivers Coach, you can just swing the quiver down under your arm without taking it off to get through the scrub. I have used all the different quivers over he years but it's the speed of a follow up shot that the back quiver gives you that gives it the edge over all other quivers. All quivers have their weak and strong points, so at the end of the day you have to decide what you want from a quiver and what you are willing to sacrafice to use a particular quiver. These days just about all of my hunting is done with a back pack so I am using a stalker style quiver instead of the back quiver. It works well but I can't get a follow up shot away any near as quick as I can with the back quiver...Glenn...

Back quiver is my favourite and most suitable around the places I hunt, A lot of the time its swung by my side when stalking or going under heavy brush.

I use a side quiver for most of my hunting as I wear a back pack. It works OK in the thick stuff but not as good as a back quiver though and it only holds 8 arrows.

Hey coach,
I have just got my Longbow a 6 arra bow quiver as the back quiver i used before was just not for me
Im only fairly new to this trad stuff so this is only MY limited experience(i dont want a s@#t fight with anyone  ). I felt restricted with the back quiver(going under stuff and through thick stuff).I thought it was noisy(feathers touching each other when walking) and on follow up shots a few times i grabed one arra but had a few come out dew to the b/heads getting stuck on each other and as i use a camel pack the back quiver was not for me
Good luck ol mate :)

There is nothing worst to use for hunting than a badly designed back quiver as a lot on the market are, they don't work with a back pack...Glenn...

i've had the same problem with my back quiver (go for one arrow - out comes a few) and i reckon a good way to fix it would be one of those roles of cloth that holds each broadhead seperately. it would also stop another common problem of the broadheads rubbing against each other and becoming dull. you can see one on col grahams ribtek homepage - looks like a real good idea to me (tho i havent actually tried it yet). is there anyone out there that uses this idea on their back quiver?

just checked - its in the section on cols homepage titled "mounting" - a close up look at the photo will reveal all.

Hey coach I found a bow quiver to be the best way to go especially hunting as you can knock an arrow with less movement than with a back or hip quiver also as for it looking ugly on a recurve, you've seen my Black Widow with bow quiver on. It looks hot and lethal

Coach a few guys over here have been making there own bow quivers with broadhead housing and all. I seen one that was a strap on with rubber belting, really stabile. And the other was a screw on one. I was impressed. So maybe you could try your hand at making one, the best was the one that strapped on with so tough flexi black rubber.

The management team has had nothing to do with Coach's post being edited out and there is no glitch in the system.
