Hi everyone, It's been a while since I have been out for a hunt but managed to get away for the night the other week. This bow hunting caper is seriosly addictive. Anyway after stalking around for a few hours I managed to find a small mob of pigs just as I was about to give up. I manovered my way around them while staying up high in the rocks and stalked in behind them as they were feeding under the shade of a big fig tree. There were no trophy boars amonst them but a large sow caught my attention. Less than 10 yards separated me from the mob as i steadied myself on top of the small rock wall that is behing me in the Photo. I waited untill she was angling away from me then slipped my arrow in behing her last rib and acheived a complete pass through. The rest of mob knew there was something amiss and started to mill around. At one stage a small boar came charging up over the wall towards me thinking that was the best escape route. He stopped so close to me i could have reached and slapped him. Even though he was so close I still managed to completly miss him as i did not even try to aimand shot using my judgement. Note to self- my judgement is not so flash, stick to using the sights. The sow was down by now so I decided to let them wander off. I walked down recovered my arrow and took a few photos. Although she was no trophy boar i was still pleased with my efforts. T o date I have only shot about 7 pigs and a dingo so there is still plenty of time for the big fellas yet.

Great effort mate :P

I always practise a few close (10m) instinctive shots with my sighted bows each time I'm flinging a few at the range. You never know when you might have to use it when charged or if they get busted early on out on the hunt

How do i go about adding an Avatar? I have tried but it needs to be less than 10 KB

you want to paste the link to an off site avatar, then it can be bigger then that mate.

Link to off-site Avatar:
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to.

So size your avatar up in photobucket or other image host, copy the url and paste it in the last box in profile under avatars.
