Did some more bush hunting this weekend, and the does that are in their mode of calling (pre rut signals) on or near dark, defiantly helps. I positioned myself in and gully in some timber and lay in wait and I ambushed a large group of about 20 does, they crossed my path at 30 metres, I took this tan coloured doe for meat.

Didn’t see any buck’s over the weekend, but there’s plenty of time; the rut is not to far away boys and girls!

That bow sure does pump em out there Pete. You are on a massive roll. My mate was down your way last week and he heard them croaking at dawn. He said he saw a few fighting too. Looks like the big boys will be moving in soon.

Still using the 125g Magnus Stringers mate, sorry forgot to do the old plug my gear thing this time!

And my limbs are fine, my bows are still together too!

me and a mate took a couple of stags on the weekend.(not with bow) they were showing signs of rutting the meat was no good for eating smelt really bad!and they were very swollen in the neck.Im in vic so i reckon there starting early down here.
