The fur on the quiver sits against the arrows which makes stalking quiet. It has a few small pockets and 1 large, the down side to back quivers for me is not being able to carry a full day pack with one.

This is generally how a back quiver is carried.

This is the possition I waer it through thick bush so it doesn't get caught up.

Bought that quiver about 4 years ago Johnno, its a vista and the fur was standed, i'd say search the net or try Archery Supplies canberra they have an add in Bowhunting downunder. It was about $90. Coach this post was for you buddy, so you can see how most of us use a backquiver in thick country. Actaully today while hunting pigs in thick scrub I adjusted the strap on my quiver so it could sit as a side quiver (not hip quiver). Worked very well while going through the thick stuff.

Have you guys ever used a Comanche quiver. It goes over your head onto one shoulder and hangs down your left side if you are right handed.Obviously was patterned of the American indians on horseback.I made one when I was using my recurves and longbow.

You could hold the arrows with your left hand if you are trying to get through thick cover to stop them catching, and the arrows are very accessible to allow for a fast follow up shot.I put two pockets on the front of mine to carry a bit of extra gear.

Will try to work out how to put photo's on here soon.

i'd love to see some pics Barebow, I have a longer strap that I use for this quiver here. But I'm going to make a more primative one out of a fallow deer skin I harvested a while back. Bit of mind stimulation in making your own gear I reckon.

Anyways look forward to any photos.
Adam

p.s if you can't work the photo thing out email them to me and Ill get them on for you.

I work leather and stuff real good...so I'll make my own no drama...but...what's inside the quiver to keep the arrow heads apart..I mean after all that jiggling around...won't you pull out some tangled ones ??? or do they just kinda lay there all snugged up...

My one has thick fur hellier, but a good idea is a bit of rubber foam so they stay apart in place

I've actaully changed the way I wear my quiver by adding a new strap. I hunted with a back pack of Dave Whitings and have like the feel it it since. It sits right behind my head and will be good in this open country over here.

G'day Ads, I noticed that all your gear is the same camo. Where do you get it? It's pretty cool. I use the realtree crap that's about 1000000000 for a golve. It would be awesome to make ma own stuff. I've made a leaf suit out of Ozcam. Its cool. I will post a pic of it on here sometime soon.
