Changes:

Sometimes with these forums it can be a little confusing knowing who does what in the management structure. So I thought I would take the time to give a brief run down of who makes up the management team.

ADMIN

The people designated as Site Admin are those that have direct control over forum and website functions ie addition of moderators, change of forum layout, addition of forum sections etc etc.

Basically they are the people who control the forum and make the decisions. I have included a brief 'loose' over view of each persons role. However our Admin works very much as a team and generally decision making is a shared process. Our site Admin Team consists of:

Adam Greentree
Adam is our most experienced bow hunter (amongst the admin team), he eats sleeps and dreams bow hunting. He is also know as Adamthegoatboy, due to the fact that he has taken hundreds of goats in his bow hunting career. However he is better known as the 'PUNISHER' for the way he hunts (hard) drives (hard) etc.

Adam's role is loosely Marketing & Content. He is our most prolific story writer and is also in charge of advertising ie (our adds in Bow hunting Down Under etc). He of course also carries the shared responsibility of forum moderation.

Luke Griffin
Luke is a hunter of considerable experience; he is also the original founder of our forum.

Loosely his role is in Forum Layout, HTML authoring, graphic design etc. Luke also carries the shared responsibility of forum moderation, handling spammers and site promotion. Luke also shoulders the role of site moderation.

Luke is also the main Operational Manager for the site. Basically he liaises with the rest of the M Team and carries out most of the boring day to day admin.

Luke holds a "Working with Children" - Blue Card.

Marcus Annear
Marcus is an archer of many years experience and is someone who is very competitive within Target Archery in Australia (although his wife is even more so). He also runs our sister Forum www.archery-forum.com (http://www.archery-forum.com), and a successful online archery website www.urbanarchery.com.au (http://www.urbanarchery.com.au).

Marcus operates at a high level, providing assistance with hosting, PHP data base programming etc. Whilst he does not play a direct role in day to day forum activities or decision making however this forum would not exist without his input.

Barry Gardner
I am relatively new to Archery (about 2 and a half years) and even newer to bow hunting (about 18 months). However as you may guess I have gone hard in the last 12 months. I run my own financial planning business and have a young family so sometimes I can be scarce on the forum from a posting point of view due to working comittments however I keep in good communication with the rest of the Management Team and assist behind the scenes whenever needed.

Moderators

Moderators do not have access to admin controls ie the ability to change forum layout etc (Tech Stuff)

Their role is to Moderate the forum when and if needed. Basically this gives them the power to delete posts or caution members about inapropriate posts etc, make announcements etc. Their appointment is based on 3 main criteria and in this order:

1) Their Diplomatic Nature
2) Wisdom & Ability to read and diffuse situations if necessary.
3) Hunting Experience and their contribution to the site

Paul Rea
Paul is currently 33 years old, married and a father of 3 children. He and his wife have one daughter who is 10 and two sons 7 and 3. He loves practising archery with his children in the back yard and takes them camping and hunting as much as possible.
Paul loves bowhunting and he has been hunting with a bow since he was about 10 years old. Hunting has always played a major part of Pauls life and is an important family tradition passed down from his father and uncles. He hunts with a longbow at the moment but has also used recurves and compounds in the past.

Paul carries the specific duties of being our TBGA Junior Bowhunter mentor and Junior forum moderator. Paul holds a "Working with Children" - Blue Card.

Glenn Newell
Glenn has been a traditional bow hunter for many years. He is also well known and very respected as a bowyer. Glenn makes several types of traditional bows; although these days, he treats his business as more of a hobby.

Personally one day I very much hope to own one of his bows. Glenn is a major contributor to this forum especially in the area of traditional bow hunting. He also has a wise head.

Michael Baker
Michael is the principal of Trophy Bowhunts Australia and is also one of our key sponsors. He has been a hunter for most of his life and from all accounts is pretty wicked with the curve.

Through his safari operation he has access to some of the best hunting properties in Australia. I can only dream of taking as much game as he already has.

It also helps a lot that his a true diplomat and a genuinely nice guy to boot.

Scott Goodwin
A TBGA member since very shortly after this site's inception Scott has been a long term contributer and highly valued member.

Coming on board as a partial moderator to assist Mick in the Game Records section in May of '06, Scott was appointed as full moderator in September, later that year.

A hunter of many years experience Scott has travelled widely over Australia in pursuit of our feral game and has been very successful in his endeavours.

A rather quietly spoken bloke, Scott has a host of knowledge to share and it is well worth taking note of his advice.

Update - new moderators.

Antarcher
Antarcher was invited on board as a moderator due to the ever increasing levels of traffic and number of posts. His ever positive attitude, impeccable forum conduct and exuberance to introduce new comers to our sport have been noticed and highly valued by Admin over the years, making him a natural choice for the new position.

Currently 32 years old and married with two daughters, 1 & 4 years old. He works as a shift supervisor for Bluescope steel in the Hot Strip Mill.
Once an avid fisherman and now an even more avid bowhunter. He has been hunting for 4 years. Ant loves nothing more than bowhunting and talking bowhunting. You could say he is slightly obsessed and loves bringing new people into the sport.

Puk
Pastor Joel Pukallus, or PUK, as he is otherwise known, is a Lutheran minister in QLD's Lockyer Valley. He has been bowhunting for about four years, being lucky enough to live in some diverse areas, allowing him to learn about a variety of species. He is 30 years old and he and his wife Anne have 2 young sons.

Puk got seriously hooked on hunting after taking his first feral billy in outback SA, which just happened to be in the record books. (He denies divine intervention).

Puk has an enthusiasm (bordering on obsession) for bowhunting and is always looking to learn more about the bush, the art of bowhunting, and the animals we pursue. He has an interest in mentoring, and passing on bushcraft and knowledge to future generations.
