Valhalla, to me the bow looks like a Red Wing Hunter or even a Howatt Bandito, so it could be a copy by an Australian bowyer but I have no idea who that could be or it could be a factory bow from the States that has been stripped back and refinished and the origional markings were lost and that info on it could have been written on the bow by the owner if the origional markings were lost in refinishing it, but I'm only guessing...Glenn...

Val that a great little bow..I have a Red Wing Hunter but the laminations on yours and the design of the riser is different..also looks like there's a bit of Bear Kodiak Magnum thrown in as well. Bit of a "Heinz". Completely agree with the comments from Axe though, ditch the rest and try it of the shelf !! Did you make those camo limb socks :?:

g'day val , i would say your bow is a perks australian traditional bow company recurve. i have a reflex deflex longbow built by john perks from victoria and it has the same look . the overlays, limb tips, construction style and even the writing an the limbs are almost identical. Looks like your recurve is styled on a Howat Bandito .I will post some photos of my longbow so you can compare when iwork out how (this is my first post)

That sounds right Warrior, I forgot all about John Perks, he has probably made more different models of bows than the rest of the bowyers in Australia combined. He made me one that looked just like that around 1983 only mine had black glass on it. Mine was a 56 incher as well. Is he still making bows?...Glenn...
