Hey everyone, I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable Easter break. I managed to get out for a couple of days hunting. I was expecting the worst as a a couple of blokes were there shooting before we got there but we still did ok. We managed to get 5 pigs all up. My mate got his first pig with a bow, a little sow and I managed a larger sow, which I thought was a boar just from the size of it. I let him go in first and when he shot two pigs ran my way and stopped in the grass about 20 yards away, so I went for the larger of the two and end result was the sow. We then moved on and when we came out the flat where we were heading we were greated by 2 separate mobs and a lone boar. A crafty plan was hatched and off we went. like all great plans it went pear shape in the first 5 minutes so we cuffed it instead. The first mob spooked, then the second mob moved in with the boar. My mate got his second pig as I was moving in on the boar and after a bit of luck i arrowed my first tropy class boar at about 18 yards. He went 26 points, my best to date.
We also got another boar on the last day which we both had a hand in taking. All up a great couple of days.
