Custom Made Hunting Knives

I organised for a matching pair of custom knives be made for my father's 60th birthday. They arrived last Friday.
The big one is a clip point hunter, the small is a skinner. Both knives have ATS34 Stainless Steel blades with Gidgee handles. The knives are sharper than any non-razor blade I've ever handled. I have actually shaved my face with the big one. Cuts like a razor.

Anyone else had a knife made, or purchased a fancy one?

I have many expensive knives but mostly pocket knives. saving for an 800 dollar custom folder :twisted: :twisted:

I'll eventually get some custom field knives but for now I'll use what I have

Yeah, i'm really happy with them.
The maker is Clive of Clive's Knives. He is a 70 year old who's passion is making fine hunting knives. He is passionate about what he does and his work is awsome.
He made these babies from bar stock and a couple of blocks of timber. As I said, these are the sharpest knives I've ever used (I sharpen my own knives shaving sharp for hunting, skinning, filleting, and for the kitchen, but my shaving sharp can not compare to this).

Clive does certainly make a very nice blade. I'll take the plunge in a month or three and invest in one myself.

The bottom knife was custom made for me. I had the other two (Bokers) handles reworked so as to have 3 of a kind.
