View Full Version : Vic Fallow
Have given the local fallow a good crack over the last few weeks. The bucks have proved somewhat elusive, though at least they have been vocal this year.
We have managed to fill the freezer, get a skin or two and finally capture some antlers, nothing record book though happy just the same.
Here are some pics.

Real good effort none the less. Looks like that Buck is a good head in anyones standard. Good to see someone is out & giving them a run for their money, nice pics as well.

Nice hunting there mate and a top effort. That could be the first aussie fallow taken with the guardian. Who knows? Nice buck anyways. You are having an awesome year. Keep it up
ds,
Great work.
Are you happy with the Guardian? I'm considering either that or the Commander. Interested in your opinion.
Thanx fellas,
Now don't get me wrong i'm with the rest of you guys in realizing that any deer taken with a bow is a worthy accomplishment. I have toiled over it for such a long time the last thing I wish to do is misrepresent myself. :D
The bow is actually a Bowtec Commander, I had the good fortune of picking it up from Urban Archery late last week and introducing it to the world of hunting soon after.

ds,
Great work.

As previously mentioned my bow is the Commander. It was primarily bought as a hunting/3d bow. I have only had it about a week and other than the initial setup have barley shot it (been away hunting). First impression is quite good as with most Bowtec’s they are finished of nicely. It does seem longer than it‘s 37inch AtoA due to the longer riser and shorter limbs and at 4.5 lbs it isn’t the lightest bow on the market nor the heaviest. Though having said that it seems to aim and hold well. I have also shot the Gaurdian and it is also a nice bow to shoot. You will do well to get either. Good luck
Shane, good to see you back from your little adventure!
Thanks ds. And well done again on the deer.
(I'm starting to sway towards the Guardian.)
Thanx mate, Actually a mate Damain Zeinert used his Gaurdian some weeks back to good effect taking a nice 4x4 red stag.
Nice hunting there mate and a top effort. That could be the first aussie fallow taken with the guardian. Who knows? Nice buck anyways. You are having an awesome year. Keep it up
great stuff Doug
that doe should make some really tasty eating and i'm sure with arrow placement like that on the buck, he wouldn't have travelled very far.
great work :)
