View Full Version : One for the BOSS(Kitchen Knife)
Ok with all the knife making going on in the shed here at the moment I thought the boss of the house might get a bit agro if she did not get something so here it is.Oh and a little toy for myself......... :D
The kitchen knife is an old file and the little one is from a concrete saw blade and is only about 4 inches all up.

Hi Kimall, good job mate.
How do you tie the cord on the handle of the small one?

Nice job Kim I'm sure the 'BOSS' will be very happy with that one.
And I do like the small one, just the right size for Bella I think. like hell she's getting one like that, she's dangerouse enough with a plastic one.
i to would also like to know how the cord is tied on, is there a web link with directions on how to do it?

g,day all; top job on the kitchen knife kimall [i might make the missus 1?].I was just wondering ,do ya re temper thefile to take the brittleness out or do ya use it as is???? dazz
Dazza I anneal the file first so I can work it with hand tools and then heat treat it to get the right hardness and then temper it to make the blade tuffer and so it holds an edge better.
Guys the string is wound similar to how the samari swords are done but cant find the link just now.
Cheers KIM
