304?

can 304 stainless be any good for making a knife :?:
i know dive knifes can be made from it but is it any good for a skinning knife?
i just have a lot of it at work at the moment
any help would be of help :D

Ever get a dive knife to hold an edge for any time? certainly not if it is made of 304. That stainless is good for bolsters and guards and that is about all.

its just i have a **** load for free from work and thought that i could make
something out of it
i know that i can make a good small axe out of it
and thats what i'll do
