Hi guys,
While not strictly a knife, this is knife related.
I have one of those cheap U.S. army k-bar replicas, the first knife i ever bought to hunt, so i have a soft spot for it, but it has one of those crappy kydex sheaths that rattle when you walk- not ideal. I want to keep it for when i go hunting for pigs.

So after i finished my services this morning, i thought i would have a play at making a sheath for it out of leather.
I didn't have this design anywhere, so i actually traced it from an ad in BHDU mag, and tried to see if i could do it.:

I stil reckon it looks a bit wierd with the crappy plastic handle,it would suit a nice polished timber handle better, but here it is.

It has a belt loop and does not move or rattle any more. The dark stain on the leather near the handle is just water. You use it to soften the leather, so i could mold the loop, and it will dry out and disappear.
a two hour project for a Sunday afternoon.
