Safety courses

As most know here Iam originally from Upstate New York. Now in New York we have to take 8 hour safety courses before you can aquire a hunting liscence (thats gun and bow). Is there anything like that here in Australia does anyone know?

to hunt ducks with one of those loud shootin things
you need to do a course of training to show u can tell what ducks what n that
the australian deer association has training that will help u to know how to hunt deer i beleive,cause ive tryed to get property info and they wont give it till i know enough about them

I just mentioned the gun course so no one would think they were picking on bowhunters. Though believe it or not you DO have to take the gun safety course BEFORE you can get your bowhunting liscence, even if you have already taken the bow course.
