I have jusr finished another kitchen knife to give to family and am really happy so thought I would share a pic.The pic is taken under a light so does not really do it justice as in the sunlight you can see through thr blue handle material but until I take other pics here you go.
Cheers KIM....
PS It is made out of L6 from an old wood saw blade that I got from Mayall
(thanks mate)

Great looking bit of kit, someone is going to be very happy.

Did you have a reason for going back to a half width grind?

Thanks for the comments guys.Jindy this one is more of a general purpose knife so just wanted it to be a bit beefier in the blade.I used it myself in the kitchen for a few days with no handle and liked the way it felt so finished it leaving it a bit thicker. But I have no real idea mate and just make it up as I go along.:) so they can turn out any size and shape. The steel is L6 from an old saw blade.

The handle is a type of resin material.I am looking at being able to supply it in a few differant colours soon and in slabs about 20mm thick and about 200mm x 100mm.The pricing will be about 30-35 dollars.

I will go and see the guy tomorrow and see if he has the samples yet and also will take somw pics of this knife in the sun as the pics no way do it justice as the light comes through the handle and looks like the colour of the reef in the pics on TV.It cuts with a wood saw and is easy to sand and file. The colours I have coming at this stage are....................
Black with Red swirl
Red with White swirl
Yellow with Orange swirl
Purple with White swirl.
I will post pics as soon as I have the stock in.
Cheers KIM
