Gday all,
Since the junour forum isnt getting much of a work out, I though id post my Darwin story in here.
My first Darwin Trip By Tim DeGrey
I arrived at Sydney airport around 5:30pm so that I could check my bags in and have hot choccy with mum before I made the 6hr journey to Darwin.
The cups were empty and the virgin blue staff were calling for all the passengers on my plane to board. My belt was fastened and I was on my way to Darwin!
I arrived Darwin airport at 1:00am to meet my Grandparents who would be looking after me for the 1 week that I would be in Darwin.
That morning, but at a later hour, I took some pictures of the appartment on wheels that my grandad built along with the ISUZU truck that tows it.
Here they are......

The wildlife around the truck was great too!

The majority of the time was just kicking back and relaxing but in between sleep and food we did a fishing charter and didn't
t catch much, went swimming at some springs and managed a one day croc and wildlife watching tour along the Adelaide River!
We saw a dark coloured Dingo, Buffalo, Brolga, Jabiru, lots more different birds and heaps of crocs!!!!!!!!!! We even managed to do a bit of trolling for barra but didnt get anything because of the season and tides etc.
A smokey kite that we were throwing meat to! (you can just see the meat on the right).............

I flew out from Darwin at 1:40am, a week later from when I arrived. I arrived home only to find that I was experiencing frost bite in 15 degree temperatures after having nothing lower than 25 degrees for a week.
