As promised I have located a chest shot of a large billy and shows the wound channels that these broadheads achieve. I am attempting to load another photo. The three blades certainly cut alot of tissue upon entry and exit. There is no chance that the wounds will close over and prevent the flow of blood.
Wow, that is huge!
Cheers Howie :D
BTW, edited the thread title... ;)
Thanks Brother Griffin, I am still battling with the finer points of loading photos onto the site and it submitted b4 I could finalize. Will get that other photo up soon. I actually took sometime in cleaning up this wound with water from my camelback to make it more appropiate. You can visualise what effects these heads have on game when following up blood trails, the trails are well defined and easy to follow, and I dont usually have to walk very far, the vast majority fall within a stones throw. Cheers mate Howie

that reminds me of the wound channel on my big bodied billy that i shot with a fuse expandable... i couldnt believe the damage that those things made...

The heads are glue on 160's grain Snuffers, not the snuffers ss (stainless steal) which are screw on and come in 100, 125 and soon the 150's. I have spoken to several bowhunters who wont use these heads due to their weight (200 grains) and the poorer arrow tradjectory and thats fine. I have shot animals out to 40 yards with these heads, but the vast majority are taken at half that distance. And Oh, dont they work. Submitted for information. Howie

Howie what are the cutting diameter of the heads
Im interested in the lighter ones dont they make like a 125 glue on .
Thnaks Shane
Have a look on the magnus web site, there are photos and all the infor you could wish for. I had a look at the 125 grainer but they didn't have the wide cut like the 160's and dont have as much metal in them. I did see a guy shoot an Impala with a 125 and they certainly cut some nice holes. Its the broadhead that does the damage, so why not use a big one, LOL Howie
