Gday guys ...after a couple of weeks of trying to find a property to hunt deer i made a great score by gaining access to a place. The owner told me this arvo that he saw around 45 deer on there today and the property is only 15 min drive from my house. As far as I know there is only fallow deer.Any tips on hunting these,as ive never hunted deer before would be much appreciated.....Damo.
Congratulations on your new property. What state of Australia are you? Might make it a bit easier for someone to help with information.
Cheers Tim

lol..yeah hood its a great score.I never would have guessed that there were deer in the area at all let alone that close. The guy that got me onto the place has a great album full of deer pics he and his son have taken over the last 5 years from the place. The country has alot of scruby gullies and semi open areas where the deer feed and its quite hilly.Im wrapped to have gained access and my wife is wrapped that its so close to home..lol.There is also really good rabbit and fox numbers on the property.Hopefully will have some pics of my own to post soon....Damo
Again half ya luck Damo I gotta travel 4hrs to get to my Fallow property. But I still love getting away no matter how far it is. Beggers can't be choosers ay;)
To save you some disapointment treat the first couple of trips as pure recon trips to sus out their pattern of movements. And if you get a chance to launch an arrow even better. be prepared to be busted by the concealed does bedded in the thick stuff. Ain't the right PUK:P;)
Best of luck to you. pics pics pics and more pics mate;)
