this is a great dvd, it shows you many survival techniques for surving in the bush etc plants that are edible where to get clean drinking water plus more...it gives you good advice on tracking goats and a few 4x4 tips. all round its a dvd worth watching IMO and there are a few really good shots taken on goats i.e 56m shot through the heart/lungs on a nanny, really worth watching.

no offence meant, but personally i dont agree,i thought it was very poor in may ways..i know it s his first,i hope he does better in the future, but id rather be honest and not see everyone rush out and spend their money and be dissapointed...

personally the bar is set reasonable here in australia, and i would feel you would want to make a video at least as good as the others .

it is better then buckets of blood though..lol

but hey thats only my personal thoughts

Yep i agree, it is poor.
The amount of time he spends trying to get his 4x4 over and off blown over tree's, I could have cut the friggen things with a chain saw and split them :P

I thought i would get this DVD and watch it on the back of some of the good wraps it recieved in other forum threads. Turned up late last week and watched it yeaterday. Although it did have a few tips and tricks that i did not know of before, i was dissopointed, and even found myself reaching for the fast forward button on the first run through.

For mine there was too much getting to and preparing for the hunt footage and not enough actual game footage and shots. I didnt see a shot until over 1/4 of the way into the movie - too slow for me.

Maybe a hit with the newbies to the sport, but not with me.

6/10.

True, I found it took a while to get going. I would of liked to see more game being taken, other than just goats and carp. However i did like the run through of the gear required and what he was using.

More action would of been good, i would go 5/10

Well boys,

All you guys that have been saying for a while that you are making a DVD and have us still waiting for it,, I don't know what the hold up is?
It seems all you need to do is video 25 mins of driving your 4X4 and shot 6 nannies and a Billy and you have yourself a Bowhunting DVD!

On a serious note I didn't think much to this dvd as a full on Bowhunting dvd that I would enjoy.

However I think that this is the perfect style of bowhunting film that could be shown on TV like a Rex Hunt fishing show etc and could help promote Bowhunting to a wider audience. It was well put together and didn't contain to much killing and shows bowhunting for what it is to most of us an enjoyment of the bush with a few kills thrown.
As I said not the type of DVD I would pay my hard earned money for, but I would love to see this on TV, Well done Mr Brooks!!!
