anyone here about this ?

i was driving with my mates today and we where going past wollongong uni when a adult rusa stag flew out onto the highway and was struck by a car .. the lady in the car was fine but the deer was not it was still alive and trying to flee the sceen but had broken legs and was unable to get up and in a real bad state .. i looked out the window at this poor animal and the expression on it face taw at my heart you could feel its pain .. thank god the rspca was quick on the sceen to put it out of its misery ... as for the car it was a complete ride off ... the lady driving the car was not thinking about her car but crying for the poor deer it was a real bad sceen and made me have second thoughts about going for my first rusa this rut as they are a beautiful creatures :( .. but then again im sure alot of you hunters have been in this position before and had second thoughts about taking a deer .. or am i the only one :/

ps. the deer was a adult rusa stag with fairly small antlers

mate i don't know about deer, but rabbits.... i know it sounds weird but i used to watch this movie "watership down" when i was yound and just watched it agian.....i can't believe that that is a kids movie....ive seen horror movies with less blood and guts in them.... its a story about these poor rabbits trying to find a new home...and end up at war with these other rabbits....and one part in the story its so sad....i know that sounds a bit "sissy" talking like that but rent out the movie, watch the full thing.... then try and judge me...

shocking movie....

Everytime I have taken an animal I feel a mix of sadness and elation. If I ever dont have that feeling of sadness I will stop hunting...

Yeh I feel great respect for any animal I take. Sometimes I'll just sit and watch them do their thing.

Every Rusa taken with a humanely placed arrow, is one less that could die a traumatic death on the side (or middle) of a road......

i think its just a case of there being a larger heard on the uni campus... the stags generally come to wherever the does are so the stags would be coming out of the woodwork to get to them... i absolutely hate to see animals like deer or roos go like that, cus the thing is most of the time the bottom half of the animal gets demolished and the vitals are basically untouched... as for when im hunting, i dont feel any sadness or remorse for taking them as such, but an unbelievable amount of respect and awe for them... i stood looking at the last goat i shot for about half an hour... anything that takes me one and a half hours to get into range has well and truly earned my respect.
