View Full Version : Groves recurves
Dose anybody know what a Groves spitfire recurve t/d bow is like as far as quality and cost thanks
Yep,
Had a T/D 56" 65#@28", for about 3-4yrs have a fairly high brace height for the length, & make you uneasy when stringing them.
The finish on mine was not as good as expected, cosmetic only, finger pinched a bit, because of the design they are built for speed, more than comfort. Cost me $1000 & $300 import at the time. So.. whilst the bow was good & performed quite well, for the money I believe there are better on the market :D
If you are interested WRC55, on OZBOW, bought it from me a few months ago, he is very happy & has shot a great group with it, might be worth your while to talk to him

Hi Piggy,
Yes i have the groves spitfire.
2 points Axe brings up are vaild. It does have a higher than normal brace height, i believe it's due to the short, tip to itp length of the bow. This isn't really an issue for me as my arms and draw length are shorter than normal!
I havent had a problem with finger pinching though?
For that sort of money, Axe is right; there are better value buys to be had. But i got it for a bargin! :D Thanks Axe.
