The photo was taken last saturday at the pacific bowmen club on the gold coast.
As for the gear, you have to ask our friendly administrator that question. It is luke in the pic :D

Here's one of my boys with the 'Bowmerang' and a Sambar rub. We went and checked the game camera, after 200m of uphill walking my 6yo said "My legs are sore". The 4yo replied "Mine aren't Mitchell" . Then I piped up and said "Of course not Josh, you're sitting on my shoulders":o. It's amazing how much harder it is to go uphill with 17kg. on your shoulders!

there is a crapload of goats and rabbits out here with the ocasional pig floatin round. the only problem is that its a national park so i cant hunt around here, put there is a 15 000ha common area down the road where i can :D

still takes a great deal of skill to set up a game camera in an area where a sambar like that might just pop in and pose for a pic - great stuff Dale.

Here's a little rough-scaled snake I came across in the bush last June. I didn't hunt him and luckily he didn't hunt me... but I think snakes are some of the more beautiful creatures we come across on our hikes.

Thanks for the comments guys... I was lucky to have my old man with me and he helped hold the card I bounced the flash off (to get the even lighting) as well as hold the snake at bay while I got up close and personal.

Hey Kim,
The snake was photographed where I found it in the Austinville valley, gold coast, June 07. I carry a piece of paper or card in my day pack when hiking as a cheap and light flash bouncer. And yes this guy was photographed in the wild. Dad and I have always been pretty serious about our nature photography. Just because you do something for a hobby doesn't mean you can't try to be reasonably competant at it. And about what I do for a living - I'm a full-time church pastor.
Don't worry, I'm guessing that you think the pic's ok, hence the doubt. I'll take it as a complement.

Hi all

It has been a fair while since I have been on the site but here are a few photos of some game recently taken with Woody's 140 grain stealth broadheads.

The billy was shot in the Sofala area of NSW a few weeks back, measured at 29.5" & went 98 Douglas Points & is my personal best to date.

The Rusa deer, a doe, was shot on Sunday just gone on the south coast of NSW & is first first deer of any species.

Saw my first wild deer the other day
(A nice Chital Stag, Nice set af antlers too)
DEAD on the side of the road
drove past it 3 hours later and someone had cut ff the antlers
Still to see a live on yet

that looks like some prime bunny country, hunted. here are my entries for august.

these are photos of the campfire that we had going when we were hunting at Nyngan in the school holidays. i like how these photos show the blue part of the flames and the patterns that the flames make.
