hi everybody,i recieved my new tomohawk dessert fox long bow this morningand im very pleasedwith it,its a 62" 55#my draw is 27.5" i use 29" 11/32 arrows with 125 grain points and a 10" taper to the nock down to 5/16th,my question is this and if anyones got any ideas it would help i tried a 50-55# shaft in the configuration above and there was zero fish tailling but they hit the target nock high(even at 2-3 meters i broke a couple of shafts)i thought this will be simple nock down problem solved, but how ever much the nock came down right to square it didnt pull the nock end of the arrow down .its only the beginning for me and this bow but i thought id ask see what people think ???
cheers.

English very often nock high can be your nocking point is too low, especially with tapered shafts. Measure across with your square for the nocking point from the 11/32 section of your shaft and not the tapered section. Normally your nocking point is 1/8" high for fearther clearance but with tapered shafts it has always been my experience that you have to add the difference of the taper as well, with tapered shafts you might have to be as much as 1/4" above centre. That's just a rule of thumb measurement as bows can differ according to the amount of tiller they have been made with...Glenn...
